He did:
And following his analysis, I did a version:
the world is better off without bad ideas, good ideas are better off without the world
I found this on the wiki. So cool.
No sure what you mean by "analysis". If you mean an arrangement for mandolins, yes, there are a number of arrangements for mandolin ensembles or orchestras (and indeed for any other instrumentation you can envisage). Our group play a 1970s arrangement by the French mandolin composer Silvain Dagosto -- I made my own home recording of this arrangement a few years ago. It's a bit crudely recorded (I sound better now), but gives some idea of the arrangement. There are four instrumental parts: guitar (playing the famously repetitive bass line), mandola and two mandolins.

Went to a bookstore and got the Organum script by Max Seiffert, Kanon, Violins 1 2 3 and violoncello. Listened to all recordings on youtube, downloaded analysis parts from Musescore, searched the internet for analysis writings (quite a few) and did alot of writing myself-- all for a solo arrangement to grasp the spirit of this wonderful piece. Reduced to 1 voice. The more I dig the more I discouver about it. When I play along I come to unexpected wonderful improvisations. So I know alot about it now, but the decisions which bars to include and what to leave out and which to place where keeps me in the doldrums.
This is one way to do it.
There is a long list of musicians and arrangements in pop, rock and others who "stole" from Johan Christoph Pachelbel and his Canon.
And I know why now
Again , the learning and fun effect is immense. These pieces where one gets hooked ...
