Default Handel's Messiah: "How Beautiful Are The Feet", mandolin & piano

Georg Friedrich Händel, "Messiah", HWV 56
Part II, Scene 5, "How Beautiful Are The Feet"

Solo mandolin performed by Martin Jonas.
Piano accompaniment performed by Héctor Valls, downloaded from IMSLP under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license.

This is an instrumental version of this aria from The Messiah, played on mandolin to a karaoke piano track. Score and MP3 of the piano accompaniment are at IMSLP:

I am playing my 1915 Luigi Embergher mandolin on this recording.

Héctor Valls has recorded piano accompaniments for a total of seven movements from the Messiah, all at IMSLP. I have picked this one as having an immediate appeal for solo mandolin -- it's such a pretty and gentle melody. Several others looks like they would transfer well as well.

I have now recorded one of the other movements, in the same way.

Lovely, Martin! Handel's music is a favorite of mine.
I'm certainly enjoying these recent pieces with piano accompaniment, as well as the artwork you've selected.

Thanks, Bill. Here is another one -- possibly the most famous aria from The Messiah (other than the Hallelujah Chorus). All three of these arias are played from an 1893 vocal and piano reduction by Ebenezer Prout. They are at IMSLP, but I attach the PDF scores here for easy reference, as there are an awful lot of different editions at IMSLP.
