    Default Clarence White solo album?

    http://www.allmusic.com/artist/clare...6588/biography

Mention is made of a solo album he recorded... so the duo was able to land a cameo appearance for White on the Gene Clark With the Gosdin Brothers album. Around the same time, Clarence recorded a solo album for Bakersfield International which the label didn't release

Has anyone seen this? That would be something.

There was a real solo album (as opposed to posthumous outtakes and home recordings) started, but never completed due to his death. The four tracks that were finished were on the Sierra Briar compilation (with tracks from other artists - Everly Bros, Richard Greene Eric Weisberg....) called Silver Meteor. Evidently it's been released on CD with the original 12 tracks expanded with the addition of 14 more

Niles, in the short bio that Alan cited, those four tracks are mentioned near the end of the article and appear to have been made in anticipation of a totally different album than the one for Bakersfield International, which was apparently recorded in the mid 60's.

I had the album years ago and more recently the expanded cd. The cd features Levitt and McLure's excellent instrumental "Living In The Country".
