Default truss rod cover from Custominlay, for my F9

I love everything on the F9 I recently acquired.

except...........the black plastic truss rod cover.
it just doesn't "work" on the rosewood veneer. I looked in my wood stock and didn't find anything sizewise to fit, everything being too short. saw a thread revealing TR covers from:
    http://shop.custominlay.com/Truss-Rod-Covers_c41.htm

saw a few I really liked, in the end decided to get a basic EIR. it arrived today.
I have to say, cut with surgical precision, very well made. very impressed.

    it definitely completes the package:

I kinda wish I had ordered one now with mother of pearl inlay(cross or fish). I may later.

Hi Daryl - I bought a banjo truss rod cover from Custom Inlay several years back for my once owned Gold Star banjo. The quality was first class.

From Daryl - "..wish I had ordered one now with mother of pearl inlay...". That would look nice Daryl, but what about a TRC in a lighter wood veneer - i'm thinking ''the same - but different''. Even the Black TRC looks a bit lost in the background (to an extent). A nice American Walnut TRC could look very nice & you could still have your inlay - just my thoughts !.

Weber also had Bryan's guys make my MOP TRC for my Fern. Weber didn't offer a MOP TRC at the time & didn't have a piece of MOP big enough - it's perfect !,

I have bought some truss rod covers from First Quality Music in Louisville and they offer the abalone/mother of pearl ones for a good price...

Max Girouard did the inlay 'Isabella' out of flat brass for my Yellowstone. I named her after Isabella Rossilini, because they both have great curves.

ID:	153493 I am usually not one to overly pretty up something, but I went and ordered a green abalone TRC for my Gibson Fern. I really like it. It looks natural with the green fern inlay.
