    Default Hello and thank you

First post, and I want to say thank you to everyone here for the fine advice via the thousands of posts I have read here for the past month.

I ordered my very first mandolin today, an Eastman 305 from the mandolin store.

I am a long time guitar player and have decided to learn a new stringed instrument

Welcome, Phree. Come check out the Newbies social group. Click on "Listen/Learn", then "Social Groups". If you can't find it on that page, use the search bar to find "Newbies". Lots of happy new Eastman pickers in the bunch there.

Welcome to the Cafe. I think when your UPS package arrives and you start chopping, you'll remember that the rest of your life (in a positive way, of course!). I remember mine. Course it didn't take long for my left forearm to get tired, and i already had strong forearms

Solid mandolin, and a great place to buy one. Probability of addiction high.
