    Thanks Doug, I'm gonna pick up one of those countersink bits at the hardware store and go to work. I just tried this with a regular drill bit and I really like the effect. I never did like the way the primetones felt dry and slippery and the holes really help.

    Ivan, I'll just try one with and one without the countersink and decide which I like better.

    Another primetone tip that I found: I like the large triangle shape in 1.4 and 1.5 mm thickness but I have always found them a little too bright for my taste. So I took down the point to be a little more rounded (but nowhere near as round as the round primetones) and then re-shaped and polished the bevel. That helped a lot to take the edge off the bright tone.

    Stevo - Good idea !!. My own preference was for sharp edged holes,but that's ''what worked for me''. Doug's choice was ''what worked for him'' = 100% correct.

    I still can't understand why the 1.5mm 'flat' Primetones feel so very thin compared to the 'grippy' ones,
