I'm hoping to buy a Lakota Leathers flat braid strap soon. Does anyone know if the 43" standard length will work for an Eastman 605 A mandolin? Thanks in advance.

It would make a difference on how tall you are and where you hold your mandolin. Take a piece of string, cut it to 43" and tie it on your mandolin. Does it fit, great, you will know from there what size to order.
THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE JUST FOR YOUR SMILE!
I'm going by memory here, but I had several of the flat-braided Lakota straps and my wife tried to use one on her Pava (A-style). It was too short for comfort, and the loop end which is made to go around a scroll was too large to provide a secure fit at the peg head. She ended up braiding her own custom flat-braided strap that was a bit longer, and with a different attachment to the peg head.
That being said, the length of the strap probably has less to do with the mandolin style and more to do with how large you are and how you hold your mandolin. The advice above is best: use a boot lace or string to test what length you need.
Whatever length you end up with, though, Lakota Leathers can make you a custom strap that will provide the best fit and attachment. I use their straps on all my mandolins/mandolas. They are super comfortable and soft, whether they're round-braid or flat-braid.
I just bought a Lakota 43" flat braided strap for my Eastman 515. It's a very nice quality made strap and the 43" length works ok for me but 45" or so may be a better length. If I had to do it over again I would just get the round braid to reduce a little unnecessary bulk that the flat braided strap has.
Thanks. I did a measurement and came up with the same 43 inches.

Test: throw a tailor's tape over your shoulder with 1 end tied to the strap button
and Note the 43 inch mark , to estimate. .

I like 'Watson's Blues' that plays during their mandolin strap commercial.
