Default J. J. Cale: "Crazy Mama"---Wiebeck and Wright

A gentle blues from J J Cale, our last duo gig at the winery. Zoom1 recorder for audio, located near the monitors and amps. I seem to have picked up a little wind noise, otherwise it did well just hearing the monitor speakers for voice and the amps for instruments.

I do some string bending, damping one of a pair when I want a whole step pitch change.

    Tom,
Very good performance! I use to live in North County for many years. What pickup are you using in this clip?

Thanks. I'm using a magnetic pickup by Steve Ryder, his stacked-single-coil humbucker with my mounting. I come out through a belt-clip passive volume and tone, cut 800 Hz a bit, and add a trace of echo.

I go into my amp and also a feed to PA. Sound was recorded by a Zoom1 parked between us, aiming at amps but hearing the monitors, too. The pickup can sound very electric, but with decent high end it gives a fine acoustic character---records well, too.
