    Default Getting back into it..

    Hi everyone.

Well I took a break from mandolin for a year off, sold my KM900, and now I miss playing.

I'll be placing an order soon for a custom Crystal Forest flattop with some of the specs as follows..

    California redwood top
    Red curly maple back/side/neck
    Ebony fretboard (flat)
    Top/neck/headstock bound in white binding
    Top finished in black
Back/sides/back of neck stained a rich brown

I'm excited to start playing again and being in Austin.

Hope everyone has been well here!

Welcome back, Joey! As a Texan just curious: Did you just move to Austin, or just coming back to Austin after the year off? Great place for a musician to be.

Funny you ask. I was born in TX, but grew up in CA.. it just took me 31 years to get back.

Jeff, You forgot to mention the 325 posts about a $199.00 MK mandolin....

BTW...I just got back from letting a broken hand heal up for three weeks, I don`t know how anyone could stay away for a year without going crazy...

    Jeff,
Could you send me an upgraded copy of this about every 6 months or so?

Welcome back, and a pre-congrats on the new Mandolin. The Crystal forest instruments look great! Plus Terry is an all around awesome guy.
