Really? YMMV, I guess, but the tone sounded entirely "octave mando" to me. Same frequency range as a guitar, but the doubled courses give a much different sound, IMO.sounds very much like a guitar to me

I've played it and it is as special as they come. It stood right up to the Gilchrist that is there, although there was a strong difference
