Been a fan of Ollabelle's eponymous album for a while now, but just received Riverside Battle Songs as a gift last week. The fifth tune on the album - Dream The Fall - is a beautiful ballad. There are no individual song credits, but Amy Helm is credited for mandola in the liner notes so I assume it's her lovely playing we hear in the song's opening. This album grows stronger from beginning to end. I didn't hear a lot of 8-string in the rest of the album, but if you know this band and like them, and this one isn't in your playlist you might want to check it out.

They are very good. It's been ages since I have heard them. Bought their 1st CD many moons ago in Savannah GA.
