Smile Found one! First Emando a 4-string Kentucky

I had a great discussion with fellow players who gave me loads of good input. I landed on this baby for a low price in excellent condition ($200 plus shipping with a gig bag):

    Congrats!
I especially like the fact, that it has a lipstick pickup in the neck position.
That allows some jazzier tone colors than a twanger in the bridge position.

Hey CrissCross, I really like that point you are making. If I have a choice, I would always prefer the neck pickup in my guitars for those very reasons, so this should suit me, too. Glad you pointed that out! Thank you.

Hi Darryl, You have quite a trio there, sans your handmade versions. I like the combo of Fender, Kentucky and Epi-Bird. I received mine today and had a chance to tune 'er up and plug her in... the tone is good. Made my tubes warm up to a natural overdrive when I cranked the gain a bit. I noticed mine has the tuneomatic-style individual bridges for fine intonation adjustment. The one I found in the store that got my attention had a compensated bone saddle that could only be raised and lowered. I am happy to have this type.

    There's a thread here http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/sh...ndolin-bridges about tune-o-magic bridges.
