Neighbors Hate Me!

Hey all,
I know we've covered these before, but just had to put my review in. Received my Rigel Tone Gard from our own Ken C yesterday (10 minutes before I had to go to work - dang). Popped it on real quick, stood up, strummed a few chords, and almost dropped the mando it was so loud. I don't have the best technique, have come from playing guitar, so I like to play with the mandolin up against my body. This thing is great. My poor wife though. She has the softest, sweetest, singing voice. She's going to have to learn to project a little more now. Just thought I'd throw in my own story of the Tone-Gard. It really does what they all say. Now if he'd like to send me a free one for my Larrivee for the free review

If you haven't tried one I'd highly recommend it. Sorry for another review on this thing, it really is great though. Thanks,

I just ordered one too, but haven't received it yet. I am planning on using it at a jam in a couple of weeks. Tell me, is it comfortable or do you really notice it's there.

Doublestop. I have been using a ToneGard for a couple of years now. No one notices it is there including you. It keeps the back from being scratched and projects the sound enough to make a big difference. You will be happy with it. Clamdigger

Hey,
If I'm laying down on my back I can kind of feel it. And if I play without a shirt I can feel it. Otherwise it's virtually non-existent. Best purchase I've made for my mando.

I've had my gard for a couple years now. I wish I had a photo to show. It looks pretty beat up, as far as the black paint chipping off in places. That alone makes me think its worth it. I'd hate to see what the back of the mando would look like if it wasn't for the gard taking all the wear and tear.

Just picked one up at a mando gathering in Inverness, Ca. Very nice addition to my mandolin it is! Sounds great; thanks Tony!

Also just received my Tone Guard yesterday and am blown away with the increased volume and tone. I didn't realize that my gut was killing off so much good stuff. Even my wife (who's not much of a BG fan) noticed and commented how much louder it is. My Breedlove OF is still very new so hasn't opened up as yet, but when it does......

This weekend is my first time out with the mando and my first BG venue ever (Temecula BG Festival) so when I crash and burn, it'll be with great style and panasche. Banjos and fiddles BEWARE!
