Delightful, Trevor. I know it's another one of those apples and oranges questions, but since they're not going to be so far apart in price, how do they compare in finish, sound and playability?
Hi Ron, fit an finish are comparable, first class. Both are new arrivals so I haven't had time to play them both much yet. I will report back in a few days.

"...while a great mandolin is a wonderful treat, I would venture to say that there is always more each of us can do with the tools we have available at hand. The biggest limiting factors belong to us not the instruments." Paul Glasse
Stumbling Towards Competence
They are both amazing sounding mandolins, there isn't much difference, the Girouard has half a tad more in the bass, the Pava a slightly brighter chop.
