Skip and I met at the Gibson clinic in Winston. He's a cool guy. I had the privilidge of jamming a little with he and Alan.

I may bring both of my axes, short and long, so you may have one to get in on with.

I'll be looking for ya, especially at the Mando Mania. I'll have a Gibson shirt on that has a b#$jo on the back. Hey, I'm no respecter of FREE stuff.

I'll be there and will be camping at River's Edge. Last year I spent a fair amount of time in the Pickers' tents. I will be playing my blonde Nugget and my new National Resonator mando ( a banjo killer). Hope to jam with anyone on Mando Cafe. Rich Michaud

hey all, have a great time this year!
beware to the first timers....it is quite possible that the temp will drop at night, so dont forget the warm clothes! i have been many a year when i saw poor souls freezing to death when it got down in the 30's at night...and they were wearing their hippie clothes and sandles!

I have an idea. Why don't we all meet up at the sand sculpture around 1:30 to 1:45pm on Saturday after MandoMania? We could go over and pick a few tunes, have a mando tasting, meet one another and so forth. How does that sound to everyone?

Maybe somebody could cross post this idea to the comando list and we could have a joint meeting.

ps. I am going to post this in the other Merlefest thread on the board.

Tim, sounds like a good one.

Like I said before, I'll have a gibson blue T-shirt on with a b#$jo on the back with a Morgan Monroe mando case and guitar.

I can't wait now. This is my 7th or 8th trip but could be one of the funnest yet.

I will bring my mando Saturday if we are going to have a big jam and "tasting". Look foward to meeting everyone and putting faces with names.

    Good call Tim Saxton!
