Default The Carman's Whistle (Anon., 16th Century)

This is a renaissance song, popular in Tudor England, in a setting by Allan Alexander from his book "Mandolin Music for Renaissance Faires". Alexander's version has the tune plus a variation. I have used the variation as a harmony/countermelody played over a tenor guitar arpeggio pattern. Thus, this is a trio of two nylgut-strung mandolins and a tenor guitar.

    "Baroq-ulele" nylgut-strung mandolin (x2)
    Ozark tenor guitar

Very pleasant, Martin. I liked the combined sonority of these instruments.
