Default Northwest String Summit - July 16~19

We'll be heading down to Northwest String Summit next week and was wondering if anyone from here is heading there. Wouldn't mind doing some mando tasting if the opportunity arises. This will be our 4th time there and it's a great festival that is family friendly.

    Anyone going?

I was hoping to go John, but I can only make it on Saturday.
That was good because I would catch Dawg and Del and pretty
much everyone I wanted to see. But they don't have a one day
ticket, and the cheapest I could get would be $145/165. That's
a little steep for me for one day. Maybe next year I can do all
four days. If you haven't seen them check out Elephant Revival
    on Thursday. Have fun.

I'll be there! String Summit is my favorite festival of the year and this will be my 4th as well. A couple guys from my band will be there too. We'll be camping in Neverland, so come jam with us. However with a lineup this good it may be hard to find time to jam...

Heading out in the morning and camping along the way. Yeah, the lineup is really good this year. Check out Eight Dollar Mountain if you get a chance. Dead Winter Carpenters, Polecat, Crow and the Canyon ... If you're in the coffee line by the Cascadia stage in the morning, you might see my son busking.

Gary - I agree, pretty steep for one day. We'll definitely make plans to meet up at Wintergrass next year.

On a side note, we just got tickets to see Phish on the 24th in Mountain View, California ~ it's going to be a good road trip!!!

Enjoy Summit. I've been 6 times and LOVE it. This seems like the best line up yet. Some serious mandolins will be present. I'm jealous, but it is bittersweet. I will be on my honeymoon in Thailand. Get some good pickin and have a good time.

Just got back from an amazing road trip which included the 14th annual Northwest String Summit. It's been our 4th time there and it keeps getting better every year! LOTS of jamming going on all over the place, but the highlight was my son getting backstage and playing with Jake Jolliff of Yonder Mountain String Band. The kid was walking on air for 3 days afterwards Definitely worth checking out if you are in that neck of the woods, or are in for a road trip for that matter!
