One of my Vega tenors is at Antebellum Instruments for some set-up and intonation work (and possible consignment sale... we'll see what he thinks). Check it out on Jake's blog here: http://antebelluminstruments.blogspo...bo-guitar.html

This is a really neat tenor. I tend to like modern but this has serious mojo, IMO.
I own a vega archtop tenor .... IMHO the Boston-built Vega guitars are still one of the best deals out there if you want a true 'golden age' instrument..... This one is really beautiful and unique....

Yup, really good mojo with this one Bruce b. & I also agree about the Boston-built Vegas Mdj. I'll never part with my little one, but this one just wasn't getting any play time.
I just checked and it seems somebody put it "on hold" with Jake within minutes of him posting it in his inventory. Hope it gets a good home!

Tres cool.

That is one fat tenor! I would love to play one but I like the smaller ones.

A bunch of stuff with four strings
MDJ,
That's a beautiful archtop Vega. I'd love to get one like that someday.
That somebody is me. I'm a big Vega fan (mandolins, guitars, banjos, you name it), so when I saw a totally unique instrument come up, I couldn't resist. I sold a couple of instruments in the last few days, so I'm going to pay off the balance today and hopefully I'll have it by the beginning of next week.

And, Noah, I hope you love this thing!
I finished this off on Sunday afternoon and my immediate thought process (after playing it for an hour) was: how can I buy this? Then, since I just bought a brand-new fancy-pants iMac... no, I can't buy this. I want to stay married.
I knew that it'd disappear really fast -- I've never seen anything like that one, Vega or otherwise.
Congrats on a rare and wonderful aquisition, Noah -
and congrats on a another great project Jake .... Just wanna say thanks to you for your blog/online store ....thru which i have learned so much about musical instruments and their history.
All the best,
MdJ

MdJ
