    Default The Loar LM-300

Hi. Once owned a LM 600 The Loar F mandolin and liked it alot but ran into a short term money crunch and had to sell it. I see there is a newish Lm-300 A style. Am I correct is assuming the LM 300 is simply an A model LM 600? Are they constructed the same way and whats the opinion of them?

I believe the LM-300 is the A model equivalent of the 600, and the 400 is the same to the 700 F style.Best bet is to contact Robert Fear at Folkmusician.com, he does a ton of The Loars, and is kinda the resident expert on them Also a really friendly, helpful fellow to deal with! Maybe he'll weigh in here.

Yes Robert will be able to give you all the lo down on the 300. If memory serves, though, the 300 is X braced while the 600 is tradition tone bar braced.
