Hey Richard. I bet after you build this one you will be hooked on A styles. Call me crazy, but I much prefer the looks and sound of A styles. Got to be a lot easier than what you have been doing. Love the two pointers but until this thread I have not been able to find a nice set of prints either. Have prints for an A-5. It will be a challenge for me to carve my first top and back plates. Go for it and keep us posted. Man you stuck a stick in the hornets nest with the Gibson thread. Get that blanket for this one. Graham
Yeah that was one of my better questions for sure. Great fun.
After all the talk about 2 pointers, I went ahead with my original plan for a plain A5. With taking care of my wife after lung surgery, I haven't been able to work on it in a while. She's healing and I'm itching to get back to work.
I have a lot of tools that I bought for doing this that I no longer want so I'm going to sell some so I can buy the tool I think I need now. The blanket for sure.

I like that! Reminds me of my brothers Rickenbacker that he had back in the 60s.

Sorry to hear about your wife. Hope all is on the upside now. Know what you mean about the tools. One of those gizmos that fit on an angle grinder is going to be a must before I try the A-5 top and back. My trouble is that I have been buying tools for 45 years and I can not part with any of them. Just have to save till I can afford what I want. Think of the fun making all those new jigs and fixtures required for the A-5. Graham
This was on FB today.
