Default In The Mandola Market Again!

After the recent purchase of a Weber D hole mandola, I am now in the market for a used lower cost mandola to accompany me when harsh environments prevail. I'm looking for good playability and intonation, though I do not anticipate tone to be as pleasing to me as my Weber.
While I think I would be very happy with a Big Muddy, it is more likely that I will locate a Trinity College or a Washburn. Has anyone had experience with either or both of these that they could comment on? Other suggestions welcomed.

I'm considering my first mandola so will follow this with interest as well.
I see J. Bovier has one. I'm clueless about the mandola though other than the general idea and a few songs I like. (my spell check is clueless about mandola as well!)

"Lower cost" is pretty vague. Can you be more specific on your budget for this?

There is a used Girouard mandola at Acoustic Music.Org. in Connecticut. I believe he also has a new one as well.

PB -- I have a Trinity College mandola, made in Korea, that is in great condition -- like new-- that I would be willing to sell. I bought it to try out a mandola but found out I like mandolins better. I'll sell it for $500 plus $25 shipping. It comes with a Pro-Tec hard case. Click image for larger version.

I sent you a private message on this. If the original poster isn't interested I might be but he gets first dibs.

Dang it, I wish I could find another Pro-Tec hard case! I have too many mandolas (not really!), but too few mandola cases...
