Interesting. My grandfather grew up in Kirkwood, but I've never been there. Looks like an amazing performance.

it was a unique performance and simply awesome! the 'energy' was off the charts. i have heard from many stories of getting goosebumps and tearing up at times. the theatre was really small too. not sure how many it holds. can't be more than 700. there were also a lot of people in the hallways who couldn't get in, listening from out there.

I remember watching Sam Bush for the very first time with 'Newgrass Revival' (on video) & he put enough energy into his playing for the whole band. If ever a guy put 110% of himself into his playing,it's Sam Bush. Is there any wonder why he's so terrific to watch ?,

Sam doesn't play music so much as channel it - seems to me like the music plays him. That's where his energy comes from, and that's what I want to be like when I grow up!

Thanks for the original videos, but also the tons of great youtube stuff that comes up as related. I just watched a killer performance from last year of Steep Canyon Rangers and Sam's band on Tennessee Blues. WOW
