    Default Mowry oval-hole sound?

Anyone have any experience with one of Andrew Mowry's oval-hole mandolins? I'm especially interested in descriptions of the sound of his F4 hybrids (an F5 neck and body but with an oval-hole instead of f-holes) Any info appreciated...

I just looked at his gallery and the blond F4 hybrid looks nice. I noticed his 2-point has the shorter neck to body join like early Gibson's. I would be curious as to it's sound as well. I'm awaiting receipt of a Poe F4 on approval. It has the traditoinal F4 neck.

Seems several builders are adding an oval hole to their line lately. I just tried out a beautiful black top Northfield F-4 ($2695) at Fiddlers Green that played very nicely.
