Sweet, I can fit it in before the Mike Marshall/Caterina Lichtenberg set on CW!
I'm going to Nashville show at the Ryman Friday night! Can't wait!!!
Diggin' the webcast - but wish I was going to the Ryman Friday. Michael Daves opening solo! And I presume sitting in on a tune or two if they choose to dip into the bluegrass repertoire at all.
That Loar is more scratched up every time I see it. Can't wait to see what it looks like in 40 years! Love it!
Love it.

What's that A he's playing? Sounds so bright. Love it.
Thanks for posting. Really enjoying watching.
do good things
i'd rather watch "old sausage" videos. hey david let me know when you get yer' own pick line.
So much fun, I love these live concerts on the internets. He played a Smart Mandola on Julep... so red and pretty. It was cool to hear Critter sing one. These guys are too fracking talented.
Thanks
Does anyone remember the interview where Witcher "says the band just appreciates the versatility of acoustic instruments, and we're not interested in pounding out the rhythm on a drumset. Drums are like a fascist regime...Once the drums are in, that's basically all you hear"?
Funny how he's the one playing the drumset. It was tasteful though.
Thanks for the link.
I must admit, I found a few numbers just about "unlistenable". Others were magic. I guess I'm a sucker for the tunes where they appear to be having fun, and not so much for the serious musicianship exploration type pieces.
Faithfully submitted,

I found everyone one of the numbers magical. I don't own any of the CDs, and have heard maybe two songs by them before this webcast. Very entertaining band, with a very entertaining leader in Chris Thile.
And to repost Dan's question up top, what was that red A style he was playing? looked like an A on the headstock.
There's a replay going on in case anyone missed it.
I don't really "get" every tune of theirs either, but musical tastes are subjective.
Those guys are all excellent musics though, which I do appreciate.

There show in Oberlin last Thursday was fantastic. Every one of the were giving that drum set they were sharing the stage with some odd looks throughout the night.
Thile's A was a Lawrence Smart.
"A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can afford to leave alone."
That show at the Ryman last night was freaking awesome! Michael Daves opened up and he was pretty good too.
