Default Need new case for Lyon & Healy Style B

    Hi all,

Anyone who owns a short-scale, 2-point Lyon & Healy, I'm looking for a nice case which would work for it.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Thanks Mr Mando - I already have one of those LOL. I need a modern, non-musty, protective one!

This is a big problem. It will fit in a std A-style case like a Superior or TKL but the accessory pocket gets in the way. You might get one of those and remove or alter the pocket. If you don't want to go that route, you could try this Concord case which Elderly sells. You might ask Elderly folks if they know that an L&H will fit in it. If not, perhaps they have other suggestions.

Thanks Jim. I actually have my Style C in a Superior case - I had to alter the pocket a bit b/c of the short neck length on the mandolin. I tried the Style B in this case, and it sort of fits, but the two points are sort of "squished" into the sides of the case. Probably would be okay, but it would be nice to have a little more room where the points are - or at least more padding around them. If the case ever got dropped, the points would be right up against the sides with little shock absorption.
I might check with Elderly re: the Concord case - I have a Travelite - it might fit in that, just haven't tried it. I like having a snug but "suspension" fit, like with violin cases for example. I might consider having a case made for it?

I would guess that a custom case would cost considerably more than that Concord and the Concord looks like it was based on a suspension-type violin case.
