    Default It has arrived!!

My Kentucky KM900 (NOS varnish model) just got here a few hours ago!

I let it adjust to the inside temp for the first two hours. Then I tuned it up and hit a few chop chords and note runs.. This KM900 sounds deep and full. Night and day compared to my Gretsch G9310!

I transplanted the finger rest from the Gretsch as I prefer to have one and love the look.

Joey- I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but if it were mine I would not have put the Gretsch pick guard on there. Looks like it was necessary to drill a hole in the top and side. Most folks these days install a "floating" pick guard where the mounting holes are in the side of the fingerboard attached with two pins. Do a thread search on the topic and you will see what I mean.

It is certainly yours to with as you will but you may have a hard time selling it in the future. Hopefully you will want to keep it a long time though. Enjoy!

Thank you for the info. I already installed the unit without any problems. The top screw went into the neck block.

Wow, I love that antique looking burst. And the Kentucky KM900/950 seem to have a more slender body than many A-styles. I like it.
