    True, but Turks are - which was my first thought when I saw your name. Thanks for the article. This bears out what I was saying on another thread - that the way names of the same thing vary widely among the languages of different countries is very confusing, and what everyone should use is the name given by the natives of the country of origin. Europeans should have used what Native Americans called the turkey - though there were many tribes familiar with the bird and they probably had different names for it.
