If anyone needs an inexpensive hard case for an a style, I just got the Musicians Gear hard case for 27.99 from Musicians Friend. Just a heads up. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acces...-mandolin-case

I don't know about the a style case but the F style is too shallow for my Kentucky F style.
It's not a bargain if you can't use it.

I read a couple of review that said it will fit newer Kentuckys. I read some that said it did not fit japanese made Kentuckys. I have a musicians gear les paul type case that I use for a Hamer sunburst that works fine. I thought for the price that I would give it a try. All the other hard cases were 50 dollars or more. I have a fairly nice gig bag, but I wanted a hard case for my new KM-150. I'll post when I receive it.

I have at least three of the earlier version of this case -- I bought them when they go on sale from time to time. This is frpm a different supplier than the ones I have, so I can't really comment. They are perfectly adequate for most lightweight occasions but I prefer an arched-top case for my more expensive instruments.
