Is Anyone here living in Ipoh, Malaysia?

Hi, I'm moving to Ipoh in Malaysia next week for work and would like to know if there is anyone on this forum that lives there? I know it's a long shot, but it's always worth asking.

Other than place names, I can't find anything mandolin related in Ipoh so it would be good to hook up with any mandolin players that live there.

I used to live in Malaysia; 17 years I put into that country.

Make sure you take steps to protect your mandolin from the heat and humidity. My mandolin came back from Malaysia with need for refurbishment. There are not too many music shops -period- in the country, and even the capital of Kuala Lumpur lacks shops that would know anything about mandolins. Most shops deal with guitars, violins, and pianos.
