This is not helping with my SilverAngel M.A.S and low funds. Gorgeous mando!

The A that Donnie is playing in the video is in the classifieds [under trade] right now.
All cured and played in. Someone could have a very Merry Christmas.

This is Donnie Stevens, thanks for the compliment....I'll tell you, I fell in love with Ken's mandolins in the late 90's, but I've now fallen in love all over again with the redwood tops. I, unfortunately, went chasing a dream and had to sell the redwood A that I was playing in the video...(to finance another venture). I currently own a Redwood topped Silverangel F and have another on the way for my backup or first choice....really hard to pick one over another there all so good....especially in the tone department. I think I've got Ken talked in to putting me some bird's eye in my current build order...LOL...I love to discuss options with Ken...and we've discussed options many a time. He has such good curly maple in his stock that I hate to go against it, but I've always wanted a mando with a bird's eye back. I'm super excited to be getting another big F model from Ken...I've said it before and I'll say it again...I've been playing Ken's mandolins exclusively since the late 90's. I just really enjoy playing my Silverangels. When you find something that gels with you....grab a hold and don't let go. Which brings me to where I am at as a lifelong Silverangel man.

Donnie, I'm currently saving for one of Ken's redwood topped A styles. Trying to sell off all the guitar gear I no longer use.

How do you like the redwood top and how would you discribe it's tone?

Skip, Hop & Wobble put that one on the map, right? Sam Bush takes a couple of tasty breaks but Jerry Douglas really turned it upside down. It's gotten to be a very popular tune, judging from YouTube.
