Just saw this combo instrument on this page. Now, if only he could add a built-in tuba...
I would love to see some videos of someone playing it. I couldn't find any with a search.

Playing lately:
1924 Gibson A4 - 2018 Campanella A-5 - 2007 Brentrup A4C - 1915 Frank Merwin Ashley violin - Huss & Dalton DS - 1923 Gibson A2 black snakehead - '83 Flatiron A5-2 - 1939 Gibson L-00 - 1936 Epiphone Deluxe - 1928 Gibson L-5 - ca. 1890s Fairbanks Senator Banjo - ca. 1923 Vega Style M tenor banjo - ca. 1920 Weymann Style 25 Mandolin-Banjo - National RM-1
Since it appears to have five pick-ups on the guitar body alone along with a set of 1970s disco lights, I suspect it might also boast a satellite navigation system, a vacuum cleaner and an espresso machine. The only thing it appears to be missing is enough room for a hand to move between the necks to play the mandolin part.
It's also missing at least two pickups for the mandolin. Oh, and a whammy bar. I mean, really - if you're this close to going all-out, why not go the rest of the way?
I woner whether the maker is aware of The Shmergel Devastator, and tried to recreate its annihilative properties, produced with just one neck, with the three necks of this, similarly titled, "The Destroyer."

It's odd, though, that this isn't mentioned at that site. Seems you'd want an attention-getting device like that right up front. This was a custom job made for a specific tour, so one would think there would be pictures and video of it in action. Also, the photo was posted to a synth forum, not a guitar one. There are a lot of unanswered questions and dead ends there, and that's about as far as I've gotten so far. But I'm sure our sleuths will turn up more info soon enough.

Yeah, the illuminated fret markers are essential. You have to play it in the dark, or else you'd be mobbed by chicks.

But it seems there are still options not covered by this contraption.

No, not exactly - you haven't seen this in action. I can't seem to find it on the web, which has me flummoxed. I mean, this isn't the sort of device meant for a shy person. I don't see why someone would commission a build like this and then not put it out there to blow people's minds. The site says it was built for a tour in 2007, so I assume it's seen some use. But to not be captured in performance in the seven years since is pretty strange. Perhaps it isn't working?
My web searching turned up nothing on it, though my parameters did cough up this. The sonic capabilities of The Destroyer are spread out among its three constituent instruments - which could have been interesting, if the talents employed were more than rudimentary, and the sound quality weren't atrocious. Approach with caution, and feel free to interrupt.

Spending 1000s of $$$s and then just letting it sit there? Something's not adding up.

Yes ... no ... I mean, I want to see a video of The Destruction - that is, The Destroyer shredding, in action. Stills aren't enough.
You can build anything, but if it doesn't play, it's just a curio. This looks like it would, but until I see/hear it ... it ain't no part of nothing. Looks cool, though.

Nah, I don't think so. It's one thing to speculate about someone's reasons for doing or not doing something: it's quite another to put him/her on the spot. I wouldn't want some internet dweeb butting int my life; I'm not about to be that dweeb. Well, I mean, sometimes I am, but I don't want to be intrusive. If he/she finds out about this chatter and wants to join in, sure, I've got a question or two, but until then, I'm going to assume there's more than meets the eye there and leave it at that. Still curious, of course.

The Theremin would be an absolute uncontrolled noisemaker with this setup. It's tough enough to make mine sound musical when I have the requisite low-capacitance space around it!
Blow on, man.
