So, very excited to say I just picked up some seats for the David Grisman show June 5th at the Old Town School here in Chicago. It's one of my favorite rooms anywhere, with great acoustics and not a bad seat in the house. It'd be cool to meet up with any other cafe members before the show and hang out for a bit, do a little pickin'..
After everybody I've seen, it will be my first time seeing The Dawg... can't wait.

I am hoping to see him in NYC, I think its in May. One of my
faviorite performers, you gotta just love that DAWG vibe!Also David will be at the Grey Fox bluegrass festival this summer in NY state, a great great, festival that really builds up your calves

It is at the Freight & Salvage Coffee House. Laurie Lewis & Tom Rozum, Kaila Flexer & Friends,
among others, share the bill.

If you're seeing DGQ in Chicago in June you'll also be seeing the Old School Freight Train- I think you'll REALLY enjoy them. Their mandolinist is Pete Frostic, and he totally kicks butt!! He was my first - and maybe next- mando teacher.
The Dawg was just great in Savannah.
