Yowza, is all I can say. I've never played one. This would make a heck of a wall hanger though.

So, was/is Morgan Monroe a real person---or rather, who IS/was Morgan Monroe --and 1960's?
That is not a 1960's instrument.
That model only appeared in the last couple of years or so....
Someone has their wires crossed!

It ain't gotta be perfect, as long as it's perfect enough!
I noticed on the close up photo, that the herringbone binding and inlays on the fingerboard look exactly like those on a Washburn M6SW Jethro Burns I recently acquired and refinished (thread and photos elsewhere on this site). Looks like the exact same mando with a different label (and paint job) to me! It is interesting looking, but judging from my recent experience, that beautiful finish would have to be stripped off for it to sound better.

Recent import, NOT 60's. He's starting his bidding at $1K, they are available new for $595 from several eBay sellers. Of course, all he needs is one bidder.....
How about a company that imports instruments into the US and was based in Indiana?

They even went to the trouble of making up a fake history about themselves but I suspect they took that name right from the source you mentioned.
Added: I see they removed the fake history from their website finally. They had a "Who was Morgan Monroe?" feature at one time.
Facebook page shows them in Indianapolis.

I'm pretty sure that Morgan and Bill weren't related although they did receive each others mail now and again when the mailman got confused.

Found this on the Wayback machine on archive.org. They must have forgotten to include it on their new website. I'm not sure if Jasper and Bill were related to Morgan either.

Whoever created that page was a genius.
Q: Jasper, recently my band played the talent show but got the power shut off right in the middle of our first number because the teachers said it was too loud. In all your years of performing, have you ever been fired? - Shane Lesley, Gopher Springs AR
A: The first thing you need to know Shane is that everyone goes through this at sometime in their career. Believe it or not no matter how old you get this sort of thing can still happen. I was recently asked to cut my set short while performing at the Concord Assisted Living Facility's annual bake off! I was almost at the end of "Foxy Lady" when some genius in the front office said my rendition was not only too loud but also was a safety risk and promptly cut all the power off. It just goes to show you that no matter how established you think you are you still run the risk of being shut down by "the man". Wait until they see what I have planned for next month!

Lots of good pick material there.
It might have been a real decade, but if everyone was too stoned to consciously remember being in it, then maybe it wasn't a real decade and time itself just stumbled straight from 1959 to 1970, like a drunken person who missed the first step at the top of a stairwell and regained consciousness on the first floor.
