    Default Double-neck, double-body

Not just a double neck but actually looks like conjoined twins. Seems to be a one-off. Someone even made a form-fitting case for it.

Not a one-off. Somewhere there's a Chinese factory pumping these out.

I had one of these a few years ago - Antonio Tsai made. The wood split into several long cracks after a short period. The intonation on the Mandola was off - the frets weren't spaced properly. A piece of junk, but pretty junk. The case was cheap but worked well...

The one listed by the OP also appears to be made by Antonio Tsai, the excessive use of MOP is the tell tale.

Does Tsai actually make the instruments he sells, or are they of Vietnamese make and he acts as broker/eBay seller?

They are Vietnamese... but his name is on the headstock of the ones I've owned - about 4 in all...

Without going into details on my travails, there really isn't an Antonio Tsai. The guy who cashed the money order I sent was named Paul and lives in Philadelphia. The address he gave me to return a guitar neck [of about the same description as Eddie gives for his] is a residential area of Ho-Chi-Min city, the residents of whom declined delivery as they didn't know him.

What?! Next you're going to tell me that Morgan Monroe and Jay Bovier are not real people, either. Who's next, Santa Claus?

Or Michael Kelly, Jay Turser, Oscar Schmidt, or Carlo Robelli -- although I gather they were classmates at Trinity College, traveled across the Blueridge mountains to Kentucky, with their dog Rover, then split up, some going to Savannah, others to Galveston.

    Anyway, that's what I heard.

In the early Antonio Tsai ebay ad's they had a picture of a fellow they presented as the real Antonio Tsai. Not saying I believed it, but certainly didn't expect a guy from Philadelphia scamming on ebay through a Vietnam front. Guess I was a bit naive.

The instruments I bought from Antonio Tsai were made in Vietnam but shipped to me from Taiwan...
