Default Parson Upon Dorothy (Playford, 1652), mandolin quintet

This is an English country dance, from the 2nd edition of John Playford's Dancing Master (1652). It's also known as "The Shepherd's Daughter", and is the tune for the folk ballad "The Beautiful Shepherdess of Arcadia".

My recording is based on an arrangement by Steve Hendricks:

    1890s Umberto Ceccherini mandolin
    1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin
    Mid-Missouri M-111 octave mandolin
    Ozark tenor guitar
    Suzuki MC-815 mandocello
