Can't wait to hear that one. Love the dark tone and the pop you are putting into these Ken.

Another beauty! Great feel and rich sound too, as I recall.
Ken, that is one sweet looking A model! Love that maple!!
yes, and it's all mine, hehe. Now it's all about the waiting till it gets here. I have to say after more years than I care to admit to playing, it's a wonderful thing to get a mandolin made.
Ken is great to work with and we've been on the same page all along. He was already making my kind of mandolin, it was all about the minutiae. I didn't want fancy, I wanted tone. And after listening to his redwood series of mandolins that have been posted I couldn't hold out any longer. After playing a bunch of mandolins I'm no longer a spruce guy. Cedar and redwood are my preferred top woods now.
It also helped I was able to turn a couple of musical items to help fund this project. I'd already been jones'n for that sound, but not only is Ken good to work with, he's incredibly fast and reasonable. From the first email till he told me it was done last week was something like 5-6wks?? wow.
yum, redwood!
Beautiful instrument!
It's well documented how much I love my redwood Cohen. I'd sure like to have a go on this Silverangel! Guess I just need a trip to California!

The ONLY negative about my #341 redwood top Silverangel is that once they hear it someone is constantly bugging me with " do ya mind if I play that thing for awhile ": What does that tell you. Enjoy your A - it's gonna sing. You'll be pleased. That's a beauty !
