I'm hankering for a tenor and was wondering if you folks think it possible to string up something like a Squier Mini in Bb, F, C, G, D, A - 6 strings tuned in 5ths.

Thanks. They talk about changing necks, not about leaving the guitar as-is and tuning it in 5th's.
A Squier Mini is 23" scale, right? No problem going up to A then, but that low Bb will be huge and probably floppy and muddy sounding. I've never tried it but from what I've read here & elsewhere, going all 5ths on 6 strings forces a big compromise at one end or the other.
