Congratulations to you, too, Barry. I hope to be at the premier in March, as Austin is only 100 miles from me. I look forward to hearing your piece on "Palo Duro Blossoms." Every year there is a musical extravaganza called "Texas" put on in the Palo Duro Canyon outdoor theater. Its been going for around 50 years. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to go, but I understand it's pretty spectacular.

We do plan to live stream the debut concert at:
    www.ustream.tv/channel/blackerby-live

Also, I'm hoping that we can make a good archival audio recording for the composers.

We're really enjoying rehearsing these pieces, it's going to be a fun performance!

I've just listened to it -- the live performance is archived at the above link. Very nice recording, and great playing all around. I like this way of capturing concerts, it feels like being there.

    Congratulations to everybody involved!

Yes, it was a very enjoyable concert! Fortunately I had the "cheat sheet" above that listed the composers as they didn't always announce them. Also nice to see a couple of familiar faces there and hear their work.

Hey thanks everyone for watching and the kind words!

If you missed it or want to watch again, an archive of the livestream video is now available and also we've posted the program notes and composer bios, available here:
    http://www.amandolinorchestra.com/wh...w/15m-of-fame/

I was really pleased by the quality and diversity of the submissions. The composers really gave us some interesting material to work on. I'm also very excited that a few of our composers have been inspired to start work on a longer version of their miniature piece. So, this is just the beginning!

Learning such a diverse–and often challenging–set of music has been a real growth experience. I have to give kudos and thanks to the orchestra for pulling a lot of extra practice sessions to learn the music well enough to give a solid performance. Now we have seven months to polish it up and give a bigger and better showing Friday October 16th during the CMSA 2015 Convention in Austin.

Joel (and the Austin Orchestra Members),

Thank you for sharing your performance via the 'net. You all did a fabulous job. I, and I am sure many others, are looking forward to seeing you in October at the convention.
