    Default J bovier

Does anyone know if the j boviers show where they're made? (On the tag or any where)

The label on my A5T doesn't show where it was built, but I know they are being built in China to Jeff Cowherd's specs. He's working really close with his builder to make sure they're done right, and they sure are.I (and quite a few others) believe they're absolutely the best bang-for-buck in tone, playabilty, and fit and finish. He's been using this builder for his 2013-2014 mandos. I believe before that, they were coming from Korea. If you have any questions, contact Jeff at www.jbovier.net. He's a great guy, and really helpful with anything you need to know.
Edit: Just remembered, when my JB arrived, there was a small label on the back of the headstock reading "Made in China". I took it off, and completely forgot about that.

All of the earlier JBovier models had a label on the back of the headstock that read "made in Korea". Starting in the very beginning of 2013 Jeff started making the mandolins with a new builder in China. My 2013 A5 does not say anywhere on any label where it was made, but my mandolin was the very first A model made by the new builders and perhaps that info never made it on there. My understanding is that they do now have a label that says they are made in China.

    Awesome mandolin, by the way!!
