Default Can anyone help me to find the title

    Hello,

First of all: sorry, because I posted this allready once 4 years ago. As you can notice, I still not found the title, but I'm not giving up. I'm not a musician, but I'm looking for a title of a song. Because the only thing I know of this song that it's played on a mandolin, I hope that someone can help me with the title of this song.

    You can listen heren:

    Many thanks in advance

    Kind regards,
    Merijn

It sounds late baroque - it might be Vivaldi or Bach? (I doubt it's Bach).

I admit, I cheated and used Soundhound - it didn't know it either...

Where did the recording come from, Merijn? I am pretty sure that is it not Vivaldi or Bach. Sounds like it could be a renaissance tune or something composed recently to sound like that, sort of a minuet.

You might contact Allan Alexander who publishes various music books for mandolin and guitar, including arrangements of renaissance music.

It vaguely reminds me of some of the tunes on the CD that comes with "Northern Italian and Ticino Region Folk Songs For Mandolin"
It has that chirpy, flowing quality with the not too heavy guitar.
I bet one of our Italian friends could narrow it down.
