I found this little stridente in a junk shop in a very sorry state- big split in the back, splits in the headstock, neck pulled forward out of position, loose tailpiece and ruined bridgepiece.
It had obviously been played a great deal, and must have been greatly treasured during its life, so I decided it deserved to be saved. I bought it and had her restored. It sounds fantastic. The handmade bridge looks out of place, I'll grant you, but it transmits the sound into the instrument beautifully.
Lets hope she lasts another 100 years!
