I need a little bit of help.
Does anyone know where I can find tab online for Italian mandolin music? It can be either a download site or a purchase site (i.e. tab book)
Thanks in advance

Do you speak Italian?
Plucked String, linked to this site, has Terry Pender's book of Italian music - has both tab and notation.
I speak a little bit of Italian. #I'm a bit disappointed in myself, though. #Being 100% Italian, I should be fluent. #Oh well.
By the way, what section is the book by Mr. Pender under?
.
Look on home page, bottom left. Section entitled "We Host".
Click on Plucked String.
sorry, I was referring to where the book is on Plucked String
.
I've tried to search for good Italian pages but haven't found any tabs yet. There's a page where you can listen to some old traditional Napoletan songs though.
Sorry, I forgot about the link. It's at http://www.gogito.com/italy/musica_napoletana_97.html.
That link doesn't work. Leads to a very "diverse" site.
.
What a stupid site!! They just link to the server. Sorry about that.
Or, if you commit to learning standard notation (a far less daunting task than it may seem at first), a whole universe of music (Italian or not) opens up...
I, too, have heard great things about Terry Pender's book; start there, perhaps.
It is not man that lives but his work. (Ioannis Kapodistrias)
Ah, but the link does work. It's just that Bluegrasstjej included a period at the end of the URL that doesn't belong. Try http://www.gogito.com/italy/musica_napoletana_97.html.Originally Posted by (phishyfee @ Mar. 01 2004, 01:45)
Oh, that's great. Thanks Eugene. Didn't see that!
There is description of Terry's book here. Scroll down to right after the Abt book.Originally Posted by (phishyfee @ Feb. 29 2004, 14:38)
Much of this Italian music is fairly simple. Even if you have rudimentary notation reading skills you should be able to read it.
I have a page full of tunes free for downloading. However, they are in std notation, not tab. You can access them here.
One other advantage of notation is that you can read accordion music as well.
