    Hi all,

Here is a new video of Ferdinand Binnendijk and Laurens de Man performing Ludwig van Beethoven's "Andante con Variazioni". Enjoy!

Great job! Ferdinand is certainly a very physically dynamic performer! Nice communication between the performers. A great romp to the finish line! Most enjoyable!

That piece is was the first mandolin recording I ever owned.

Probably among the first recorded mandolins I had ever recognizably heard. I undoubtedly had heard mandolin before and didn't know it.
A talent for trivializin' the momentous and complicatin' the obvious.

    The entire staff
    funny....

Very nicely done. I believe this is the least done of Beethoven pieces for mandolin, for some reason, but the most interesting of all of them to me.

Is there a specific compilation on which I can find this music? It's beautiful.

Are you looking for sheet music? I don't think it is on IMSLP or other free download sites. I have the Henle urtext version which includes all of the pieces that Beethoven wrote for mandolin and piano. BTW the catalog number for this particular piece is WoO 44b.

Just watched the whole piece, and a wonderful recording! (Made me wish I had better speakers with my
computer.) I have known Beethoven's shorter pieces for mandolin, but not this one.

I totally agree with Jim. Of the four it's hard to pick but this is easily the most interesting and fun to play for me. Also available on virtualsheetmusic.com.
