i must have had this piece sitting in my folders of tab and sheet music for a coupla years, and broke it out tonight while vegging on the couch. sweet as sugar, what a great piece of music for practicing tremolo.

    highly recommended.

Yeah, we play this one in my b.m.g orchestra. Other great pieces for tremolo practice are Come Back to Sorrento and Roxana. Not my usual bluegrass cup of tea, but the variety helps so much.

I say we get 4 or 5 burly Cafe members and go over to plami's house and thrash him for making my play seem so pathetic. Very nice interpretation and I could use a TAB or notation of the opening bit he used before going into song.

Well, you better look here and think again!

Besides, you have to cross the Atlantic, so you`d better give up!

Seriously, I think you all are too kind! Thank you! What I will do for you in return is to upload the whole piece on my website + the standard notation of it with my positions and fingers proposal, when I come home tonight.

    Best,
    Plamen

The obstacles for delivering a serious thrashing of plami for the damage done to my ever fragile mandolin ego are starting to mount. After seeing the picture of plami flying through the air, I think we're going to need at least a dozen of us to attempt to take him. What with the cost of travel, this will require several fundraisers and strong sales on the "Thrash Really Good Mandolin Players" T-shirts.

    Hello!

I`m so happy to read through your posts!

This great picture was made looooong ago, when I was 16 and I`m afraid, that if I try to do this now, I`m gonna kill myself, so you don`t have to send the "dirty mandolin dozen" here! It will be really a spectacular suicide...

Here is what I promissed! Enjoy!

Everybody is welcome to me in Bulgaria!!!

    Good luck!
    Plamen

Thanks Plami, I have been thinking about that tune for a little while now but didn't get around to actually finding it. Now I have no excuse.
Of course while listening to your version of it I considered quiting mandolin altogether but I seem to have recovered overnight.
You Sir, can play a mandolin!

This post prompted me to learn this song (.tef version), and it is a pretty song. I recorded it this weekend but have no where to post the .9MB file.
