Thanks Ed. I'm tempted to try one of these. BR seems to be getting great reviews.

I actually have a BR-140A on order, which is Blueridge's pre-war D-18 clone. I'm hoping to have it sometime in May.

I have a br40t. For the price it's pretty good. And as my luck, they are now putting out one with a pickup. Which is what I need

What's the quality of these Blueridge guitars like? I'm thinking of getting one of the BR41 parlors and I know these are made in China. Just wondering.

I compared the blue ridge with a goldtone, who also made a inexpensive tenor. The blue ridge looked better. But playing wise it had a crisper sound. The goldtone at that level had a flat sound like it was made from card board. The more I played the br40t the more it opened up. It keeps up easily with other guitars and instruments acoustically. Now I just need to get it a pickup.

Just completed a trade for a spotless BR-40T. Have had it for only a day and it's been a very pleasant surprise. Can't believe it's taken me this long to give tenor guitars a try.

Current Stable: Two Tenor Guitars (Martin 515, Blueridge BR-40T), a Tenor Banjo (Deering GoodTime 17-Fret), a Mandolin (Burgess #7). two Banjo-Ukes and five Ukuleles..

The inventory is always in some flux, but that's part of the fun.

I got my first Blue ridge last month, a BR-60T. Had it set up in my usual fourths tuning ADGC (yes, I'm weird). He's actually quite a loud little guy, really crisp and sharp. The tone was pleasantly surprising from the start, but I'm already hearing it fill out a bit, and the bass end keeps getting better. He's a nice looking guitar too. Only thing that was off to me was the nut and neck were a bit narrower than other tenors I've had, but I got used to it quickly and really like it now.
