Agree, and...there is something about that black and white braiding on the F3.

Yeah, really. "Selling for a friend"? It's amazing that this guy has any friends.

Seems like he has "issues" indeed. I still hope this goes to a good home.

    1. How do you know the seller's near Buffalo? Must be something I missed…

    2. Scott Freilich is trying to sell Top Shelf Music, probably not doing any unusual buying right now. Bernunzio? Even with his good repair staff, might be more of a project than he'd like to take on, unless he has a near-certain buyer already lined up.

Besides, the seller said that the "local music store" offered $2K or so in music lessons and instrument rentals, and neither Top Shelf nor Bernunzio is in that line of work, as far as I know…

Quite possibly the "local music store" offer was just made up to justify the inflated "Buy It Now."

Sold for $1725! I guess the seller wasn't kidding. Some people do have more dollars than sense. I do hope it gets properly restored.

Hey, let's not disparage the buyer! After all, he or she could be one of us and we would love to hear about this mandolin being restored. If we call that person non-sensical then he or she may not talk to us at all.

I wish the buyer all the patience of Job! I think the project will be slow and painstaking, the reward may indeed turn out to be well worth it! Good luck whoever you are!
