Great sound from your Sobell, Dagger, and a tune that is new to me. Well played, sir, and once again you demonstrate the virtues of a good traditional breakfast. Just finished my porridge and raspberries as I write this!

    Lovely tone and playing Dagger.
Porridge made with 2 village chicken eggs, French rich-milk powder, bananas, apple/lemon peel compot, and cinnamon for me.
First snow today by the way, and apples have dropped from €4.50/kilo to €1.30/kilo. (very hot summer and gas prices, but the prices of foods are easing because people are rioting again ).

Here's another early morning video which I did after breakfast today.

It's an old Scottish air from the Simon Fraser Collection called Ruairi Dubh, also known as Roderick Dhu, the Clanalpin Chief. I heard Cheyenne Brown playing it on the harp last Saturday night and thought that it would sound good on my ten string Sobell mandolin.

Haven't had an after breakfast tune for a wee while. This is Jimmy Shand's classic tune The Bluebell Polka. It was very popular when I was young, indeed it was a great favourite of my mother who would sometimes sing it about the house. This kind of tune seems quite old-fashioned nowadays, but I think it's great.
Played on the Sobell 10 string mandolin.

You must have had a good porridge breakfast before playing this old classic, Dagger! You seemed to be really enjoying it (tune as well as breakfast). Great stuff, and I was singing along to what I could remember of the lyrics - Picking the bluebells in the merry month of May.... The Sobell sounds great.
