Yamaha electric keyboard...I think someone is trying to tell me something !
My Bibey model is flat. I had also heard the Bush models were radiused, but only played one and cannot remember. I really don't notice much difference between the flat boards and curved boards.
I have put this up before and no takers yet. I am not a strong enough player to lead a jam session, but I think I am close to having a gentleman lined up to help me with that. We have great facility...
MM and $ 10-12K in my pocket would be my choice.
That is awesome !
:mandosmiley:I echo what Shaun G. said on the first page of the post. Same also goes for cheap whiskey...no time.
I am very blessed...I had a good job and my wife was very understanding. I never...
I am not at a loss for words, but I don't want to get called down by the very nice moderators.
I have mentioned this before, but have not had any takers. My wife and I have a campground on Grand Lake in Northeast Oklahoma midway between Tulsa and Joplin, MO. We have a great clubhouse that...
I have never posted a video of me playing my mandolin for very good reasons. I enjoy watching videos here from many of the talented musicians that frequent this site.
I once went to a pro to take a...
There's a F5G Custom in Classified for $ 2400....NFI here but it ought to be a good mandolin. I would not shy away from any of the Gibson F models from early 2000's on. I have seen and played many...
I was just curious if there might some protocol attached to musical instruments. I have seen ads that state a "trade value" but wondered why that was done. I think it would be like trading cars, or...
I have bought and sold several instruments but have not done any trading. How would a fair trade value compare to a fair sales value ? I see ads that refer to a trade value...are they the same...
I have only sold 2. One was a Washburn Jethro Burns and one was a 1998 Weber Yellowstone. No regrets about the Washburn...wouldn't mind still having the Yellowstone. It was a very nice mandolin.
after you put your instrument in the case, slip it inside a trash bag....that will keep it dry.:mandosmiley:
I also do not like chipboard cases.....wouldn't spend effort or money on one...
I have been away for a while....has the classified section function changed ? I am having trouble seeing the photos of the ads. Thanks....Merry Christmas !:mandosmiley:
Happy Birthday, 'Café !
I have learned a lot about mandolins on this site and had a lot of fun ! Thanks and best wishes for the next 20 years ! :mandosmiley:
I have not been able to spend much time keeping up with the 'café for the past several months....trying to catch up a little...
What is the current state of the mandoconomy...are prices up....down...
I have bought and sold several items here with no issues. Just be careful and follow the guidelines.
I have been wanting to do this for a long time. My wife and I have a RV and Cabin campground on Grand Lake O' the Cherokees. We have a nice clubhouse with a decent PA set-up and plenty of room for...
I didn't realize that Gibson had done that on most of their electric guitars.... Checked website yesterday...that is going to take some time to get used to, at least for me. It just doesn't look...
Title is Tulsa Oklahoma Jams, so I'll ask the question: are there any regular jams in and/or around the Tulsa area ?
I live up at Grand Lake and there isn't much going on up there, or at least I...
No financial interest....I would buy it if in the market...
Maybe the deal of 2014...Gibson F5G in the classifieds...less than $ 3 K.
Happy New Year !
that would be the....Celts......
I heard that about a year ago and bought about 15 sets...they are good strings...for my mandolin.
I don't think it's s big deal....just a way to attempt to describe the instrument as "almost new" , perhaps. It is still used...treat as such and make the best deal you can. Sellers do all sorts of...
