    Re: Worth Buying?

    Worth Buying?

I kind of already committed but not 100% yet. This is an Eastman 815 and the price is very good for the condition.....I think. Question is, 1 - can this be repaired? 2 - if so, and assuming I don't...

  13. Re: Would an all laminated mandolin survive in a car?

Does anyone sell these new with a set-up?
  14. Re: Would an all laminated mandolin survive in a car?

Yes. And it would be my belief, as with most things laminated, they are laminated across the grain back and forth, and they should take a dose of heat and cold better than a solid top.
    With all this...
  15. Re: Would an all laminated mandolin survive in a car?

So, plastic / carbon fiber is the first choice, laminated woods the second choice, and there is no chance in hell a solid mandolin would work. I would bring the mando into the house nightly, but...
  16. Re: Would an all laminated mandolin survive in a car?

Forgot about the glue! Those carbon fiber mandolin are pretty expensive right? I was thinking that probably 20 or more $50 mandolins before I got to the price of a carbon fiber. Sounds like a case...
