Just get a Guardian 00 size arched lid case. They're inexpensive and work great. It's gotta be arched!

My experience after half a dozen gigs is that the new Fender is a professional instrument in every aspect.
I've been playing the Mando-Strat through my Loudbox Mini, but this afternoon is scored a used Lunchbox Jr. for $80. Gigged with it tonight and really liked it. Five inch speaker is limited, sure,...
Mike,
The stock pickup, being single coil, is a little buzzy through the Fishman LoudBox Mini. Any comments on whether the Almuse is less/more/same buzzy?
Thursday to Sunday, 4 bands, 8 gigs, 17 sets, 7 cities/towns. Not enough money, but lots of fun. One Guinness a night -- strictly after I got home.
Gig list: Senior center, nursing home, Methodist...
C.F. Martin hailed from Markneukirchen.
Is the conductive paint easily available?
I just caught this thread. Very exciting. I think you will be thrilled. Welcome to the family.
I've noticed something happening with the new Mando-Strat that had also occurred with the Mandobird. When my fingers brush along the pickguard it creates a static noise through the amp.
is this a...
First gig with mien yesterday, running it through a Fishman Loudbox Mini. Loved it. A little noisy, but I think I was stuck on the same circuit as the neon.
There's a Luna bouzouki I've been visiting at a local beginner-oriented store for a few months. It appears to be slowly folding in on itself.
Similar to what Allen says, I sometimes use a Rockstand (which is a multiple guitar stand that folds into a suitcase) and then attach the previously mentioned Orcas clips to the sides for mando and...
Mine's been living in the Enoch bag since I got it. I very much want to find an appropriate hard case, but in the mean time this is perfect.
Note: I did not buy my Enoch bag for the Mando-Strat,...
" Intonation issues ala the original. "
Yup, but nothing insurmountable. I'm digging it. Soundwise I have only gone through the tiny Honeytone so far, but unplugged it's a great way to practice...
It's Shanon Smith (not Sharon), and yes, she can help you date the instrument.
Well, now that I have my new Mando-Strat, I need an amp.
I have a Fender Blues Jr, but I'd like something smaller and since I've been playing acoustic so much, I'm not aware of what's out there...
BTW.
The gig bag for the Enoch ukuele banjo fits this mandolin perfectly.

Mine's in my hands right now. Picked it up an hour ago. Loving it. Cute is definitely the word. Only playing it through a tiny Honeytone practice amp but it all seems good. The E is not weak like on...
I'm a little unsure what you mean by jack sleeve as well.
I had the Switchcraft provided with the Tapastring unit installed on a cable and have had no issues with it at all. On gigs where I'm...
I pick up mine tomorrow.
Anyone have body width and overall length measurements for the Mando-Strat. I'm case/bag shopping while I wait for mine to arrive.
Yes, the setup makes an enormous difference. But the advice for any instrument is play it, play it, play it. As my ear learned my Loar and I learned how to play it, the sound really expanded for me....
Anemic is the word I would use for the one I had as well. A pretty tone, but thin and not much cut when playing with other instruments. I did have it tuned CGDA though.
A little after the fact JWalter, but I do remember that it was also oversprayed. The bridge work did look quite professional. Let us know your findings.
And another welcome to the club. I use LaBella flatwounds on mine. They sound great, last and last and have a wound A.
